From John Anderson, TEAM Durham:It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Rudy Barber as TEAM-Durham’s new Specification Sales Specialist. A native of Durham and a UNC-G alumnus, Rudy will be joining the staff effective Monday, July 18. Rudy’s background and previous successful experience as a manufacturers’ representative will serve our company well as we forge and win new and younger accounts in the specification community. Beyond the primary responsibility of representing the best lighting company in the world, Rudy’s special interest will be integrated lighting control systems, including automated lighting and dimming controls for industry, education, and municipalities. With our current portfolio of the top producing manufacturers in this arena, we expect significant results in this seam bursting industry.

T.E.A.M. Durham is pleased to announce that effective August 16, 2010, Tom Wolfe has joined our company. An N.C. State University alumnus and a seasoned lighting representative, Tom's responsibilities will span specification work, project management, major quotations management, and lighting energy retrofit studies. Tom's command and understanding of our business is well known in the lighting industry to manufacturers, customers, and specifiers alike.

Effective Monday, September 28, 2009, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Lambert as our Office Manager for the TEAM-Durham Office. Please join us in welcoming her in her new position with T.E.A.M. Lighting. Amanda’s responsibility will include interfacing with the manufacturers for customer service, expediting, and marketing. Russ Farber. Quotation & Sales Specialist. Russ comes to us from the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area where he worked a number of years in the lighting representative business with Illumination Sales Associates in Wellington, FL. Russ is hitting the ground running, as we have many lines in common with his previous employer, so not only is his background and experience in lighting very valuable, but he has current talent and recent knowledge with many of the same companies we represent here in North Carolina. Russ has his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Mo. Russ will be handling projects and general sales. RECENT LEGISLATION
1. The N.C. Legislature has recently introduced or passed laws governing the source and use of energy and lighting. House Bill #H838 and Senate Bill S668 will establish guidelines for energy, lighting, and lamp use in all state buildings, including government and universities.
